Dutch Grand Prix 2026: Zandvoort Set for a Sprint-Filled F1 Weekend

The Dutch Grand Prix will take place at Zandvoort from August 21 to 23, 2026. This event features an F1 Sprint weekend. Additionally, fans can enjoy three days of racing instead of just Sunday’s main event.

The weekend is Round 12 of the season, following the Hungarian Grand Prix. Due to earlier race cancellations, Zandvoort is the 12th round. Practice and Sprint Qualifying start on Friday. Saturday features the Sprint and Grand Prix Qualifying. The main race begins Sunday at 3:00 PM local time. Limited practice time requires quick setups. This affects the team strategy for the weekend.

Circuit Zandvoort is known for fast corners and elevation changes. The Sprint adds a competitive edge with points for drivers. However, it leaves less room for error. Zandvoort is one of three new Sprint venues for 2026, alongside Canada and Singapore. For Indian fans, Friday includes practice and Sprint Qualifying. The main race is on Sunday. After Zandvoort, the championship moves to Monza for the Italian Grand Prix from September 4 to 6.
